The painting was born from observing the landscape through my window in Kedumim,
an old rock formation in gray and brown tones, with green vegetation winding around.
I saw a perfect composition, an interesting color palette, and this simple sight that symbolizes for me the connection to the earth, growth, and development.
I immediately knew I wanted to translate this moving scene into a visual creation.
On the canvas, I translated this view into abstract, geometric, and simple shapes. I used the tones of the landscape, browns, greens, and grays, and added clean, sharp black lines taken from the world of modern design.
Similar to the paintings: Landscapes paintings and the green view from the balcony, here too I explore the fascinating encounter between new and old, between past and present, between nature and design.
This painting is an invitation to a journey into the landscapes of the Land of Israel. A journey into ourselves, our connection to the land, to growth, and to development.
